Student charged with trafficking

A 24-YEAR-OLD STUDENT has been charged with drug trafficking.

Canadian national Brittany Chelsea Kotler has been charged with possession of six kilos of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

She was formally charged by members of the Drug Squad after the cannabis was discovered in her luggage on Friday.

According to Police, Kotler arrived by air from Canada and was detained by Customs officials.

A search of her luggage revealed three packages of cannabis weighing six kilos in false compartments. She was arrested and referred to the Police.

Kotler is to appear at the District A Magistrates Court on Saturday. (PR/SAT)
