MAY 1994 WILL LIVE in infamy for residents of the quaint village of Newbury, St George.
It was then that the community was rocked by the brutal and gruesome murder of young mother Debra James and her teen daughter Sabrina Arlington at the hands of her estranged husband, Arleigh Hector James.
Now, the unpleasant emotions that enveloped the village after the callous attacks have again been brought to the surface with news that the killer may soon be a free man.
The SATURDAY SUN was told that this past week members of the local Privy Council’s Mercy Committee had been conducting interviews to ascertain the tone of the community to James’ possible release. (SDB Media)
