Folk dining out for Easter

HUNDREDS OF BARBADIANS and visitors not only celebrated Easter Sunday in church services yesterday, but they also treated themselves to lunch at restaurants across the island.

At the Beach House in Holetown, St James, restaurant manager Stephen Griffith said they had the regular buffet menu but added a few extra items like cookies and Easter eggs for the children as they catered to 175 diners in two seatings. That number, he added, was 30 more than last year.

One of the special guests there was Charles Brome, who was not only celebrating Easter Sunday, but his 60th birthday one day early. Brome, of Fustic Village, St Lucy, was dining with seven other family members and friends. (LK/TG)
