BRIDGETOWN AND its environs are part of an ongoing baiting exercise.
Word of that comes from Senior Environmental Health Officer at the Vector Control Unit, Dale Holligan.
In fact, Holligan told the DAILY NATION that baiting was done in The City as recently as Friday.
“It’s an ongoing thing, but it’s not only in The City, but it’s extended to other areas in the environs,” she said, adding that the majority of the complaints islandwide were for rodents.
In addition to the areas where vending was carried out, Holligan said bad habits of people, cane harvesting and illegal dumping were all contributing to the problem of increased rodents. (YB)
