CHAMPION, CHAMPION, CHAMPION!

The lyrics were sung loudly, and the dance moves just as authentic.

Dwayne Bravo would have been proud.

His hit song has become a rallying cry for West Indians, and that was clearly evident at the Grantley Adams International Airport today when members of both the men’s and women’s T20 World Cup winning squads arrived back in the Caribbean.

Bajan fans, some wearing West Indies playing kit, others waving miniature Barbados national flags, screamed themselves hoarse as the team received a VIP welcome after their historic exploits in India.

Members of the team then hosted a specially organised Press conference before heading off as part of a motorcade organised by Starcom Network. (BA)
