LOCAL BASKETBALL and volleyball will be on the move just shortly.
Looks like the scheduled retrofitting of Kensington’s warehouse is almost finished just in time for the actual shutdown of the Wildey Gymnasium as the venue is currently just lacking a rubberised floor and other pieces of equipment.
Interim chief executive officer of the Gymnasium Limited and the National Sports Council, Jerry Blenman, said most of the works should be completed by month end to facilitate the easy transition for the country’s indoor sports.
“We are close to completion at Fontabelle now. All we have to do now is basically improve the ventilation and that calls for the knocking out of some stuff and that should get done by next week,” revealed Blenman.
