IT IS NOT often that someone who has never played cricket for Barbados or the West Indies steals the spotlight from Sir Garry Sobers or Sir Wes Hall but former Prime Minister Owen Arthur did that on Thursday night when he was the featured speaker at the Barbados Cricket Association’s (BCA) inaugural Quarterly Meeting at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Speaking on the topic Cricket As A Strategic Role In Barbados’ Development, Arthur made a number of telling points and also gave some advice to the CARICOM Heads of Government about their role in West Indies’ cricket.
