Men plead guilty to trafficking cannabis in shoes

TWO MEN PLEADED guilty to drug-related offences when they appeared in the District “B” Magistrates Court today.

They are Kenneth McGregor Walrond, 59, of Cheshire, St John and Kemar Orlando Goddard of the United States.

Police said the two men arrived by air today and a search of Walrond’s luggage revealed three shoes with cannabis hidden inside.

They were referred to the police and jointly charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

Walrond received an additional charge of importation of cannabis.

Each was fined $1 500 forthwith or three months in prison for the offence of possession.  They were reprimanded and discharged for the offences of possession with intent to supply and trafficking.
