Dear Christine,
My problem relates to my wife. I’m 27 and she is 23. It’s three years now and I must admit the first two years were good. But then she began to complain about my going out at nights.
Next, it was why she couldn’t have a job. But, Christine, I earn enough, so I don’t believe it is necessary for her to work.
The worst part of it now for almost a year has to do with our love-making. She’s usually “too tired”. She says there’s no other man and I believe her.
So what can the matter be, and what can I do about it?

Dear Jack,
For starters, Ithink you’re very lucky that there isn’t another man by now. Not that I suppose for a moment she wants to be unfaithful to you; but she sounds bored with the tedium of her life.
Never mind whether or not you need the money. She needs the stimulus of a job outside the home. Your going out at nights isn’t going to cause her to rejoice. Why not take her with you?
Your wife wants a companion, a friend, a lover – not just someone who’s only providing food and shelter.
