Crop Over dates issue

CONFUSION REIGNS over dates for two of Crop Over’s biggest competitions for this year.

Reports indicate that new arrangements have been put in place for the staging of the two events, but Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley said he could not give an undertaking whether or not the dates will remain the same as previously arranged.

The two events in question are Soca Royale and the Pic-Of-The-Crop Finals, which a check of the NCF website shows have now exchanged dates: Soca Royale and the Pic-Of-De-Crop Finals will basically take each other’s dates.

Soca Royale will move from Saturday, July 24 to Sunday, July 31, and the Finals will move from Saturday, July 30, and now will be on July 24.
