CIBC First Caribbean has expanded its operations to include insurance services.

The bank last night launched CIBC First Caribbean Home and Auto Insurance, its newest product being offered in partnership with Massy United Insurance, at the Warrens Autodome.

Managing director of the bank’s Barbados Operating Company Donna Wellington said the new insurance offering would bring “an even greater level of convenience” to customers who already take advantage of the bank’s existing facilities.

“We are pleased to announce this important step as an agent of Massy United Insurance, one of the region’s leading insurers, to offer co-branded CIBC First Caribbean Home and Auto Insurance products to CIBC First Caribbean customers” Welling said.

Chief commercial officer of Massy United Insurance, Mark Sommerville said the insurance company’s partnership with the bank was an opportunity to facilitate the provision of insurance products to a Caribbean CIBC customer base that like everyone else in the region, is exposed to natural disasters.
