THE PLAYOFF PICTURE is set – Warriors in, Lakers out.
MVP candidate Jamar Headley led three 20-point scorers with 28, as Hilton Barbados Warriors punched their postseason ticket in style via Tuesday’s 87-42 rout of a still winless Vyb Patriots in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League at the Wildey Gym.
The result officially gave them the fourth and final playoff spot, ending any mathematical hopes for a Lakers side that doesn’t own the plus-minus tiebreaker against Warriors in their head-to-head series.
And Warriors wasted no time securing that berth, having jumped out to a quick 29-10 first-quarter lead before going up by as many as 32 points (48-16) in the most lopsided first half of the season. (JM)
