TWO MEN ARE in police custody assisting with the seizure of $1.6 million in cannabis on a boat last night while a third man is missing at sea.
Members of the Drug Squad and Barbados Coast Guard intercepted the boat about four nautical miles off the West Coast around 8:50 p.m.
Police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch said the boat sank due to unfavourable conditions at sea. Â He said officers seized 814 pounds of cannabis and detained two men, a Barbadian and a Vincentian.
A third man who was on board was not found and Welch said rescue searches were being conducted. (PR/NB)
