Mottley lays motion in House

THE BARBADOS Labour Party’s (BLP) no-confidence motion has finally been laid in the House of Assembly.

And it traced everything the Barbados Labour Party said had gone wrong since the ruling Democratic Labour Party (DLP) took office in 2008.

Filed three weeks ago, on April 12, the laying of the No-confidence motion in Parliament was delayed after Speaker of the House Michael Carrington expressed concern about one of its clauses and the wording of another.

Yesterday at the start of business in the Lower Chamber, Opposition Leader of the Barbados Labour Party Mia Mottley spent just over ten minutes reading its text.(HLE)
