Pine close with tenth win

NOT EVEN THE meaningless games Pinelands are willing to lose.

Make that ten wins in a row for Orange 3 Pinelands, as the title favourites closed out the regular season with Saturday’s 85-72 victory over Burger King Clapham Bulls in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League at the YMCA.

It was just the latest win in a long line of them for the red hot Pine, who haven’t lost a game in two months, as they wrapped up the league’s best record and a first-round date with Warriors.

But the contest was quite trivial, with Pinelands already locking up the top spot in the playoffs almost three weeks ago.
