THE WOMAN ALLEGEDLY at the centre of a viral video which showed the mistreatment of an elderly woman walked away from the law courts on $3 000 bail.

Arielle Odinga King, 37 of Lynches Tenantry, St Philip appeared at the District A Magistrates court today to face a simple assault charge against Jasmine Hall.

The District C matter was heard at the Bridgetown Court due to the absence of a Magistrate at the St Matthias court. She was not required to plead.

After prosecution did not object to bail for the accused, Magistrate Kristie Cuffy Sargent granted bail with one surety. King’s mother stood as surety.

She will appear at the District C Magistrates Court on May 23.

Hall’s daughter Barbara Daniel-Goddard was present at the Court, as were several members of King’s family. (TKS)
