Barbadian music, fashion on display in Toronto

Date:

THE 2016 BARBADOS On The Water Festival continued in Toronto today with Canadians and Barbadians alike coming out to enjoy the culturally charged atmosphere.

Although the numbers were moderate on the third day, the audience was treated to music by jazz saxophonists Elan Trotman and Joseph Callender.

There was also a fashion show produced by Rodney Powers, which served as a teaser to the full show on Sunday afternoon. It featured designs from the Barbados To Go fashion line.

The Barbados On The Water Festival is being held at the Harbourfront Centre in celebration of Barbados’ 50th anniversary of Independence. It will feature food, music, fashion, literary events and children’s activities. (SOM)
