Read leads standings

It’s a “team effort”.

The confident comment from Josh Read, who leads both the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) and the Motoring Club Barbados Inc. (MCBI) standings after two of the current championship runs have been settled.

 “We’ve had some good fortune so far this season and I am happy with the ways we have gone, although we had some challenges in the Sunoco Shakedown Stages Rally where we had to deal with an engine overheating problem and loss of the rear shocks during the day, but the team did an excellent job,” Read said.

Admitting that he and his co-driver would not have beaten eventual winners Ron Swann and Sean Gill in a Subaru Impreza, Read said that their presence helped Swann to learn the car faster.
