REVEREND DR EDWIN Rudolph Byer was laid to rest today in a ceremony and burial at the St George Parish Church.

Byer, who lost his battle against Alzheimer’s disease, was 75 years old at the time of his death.

His daughter Senator Dr Esther Byer Suckoo eulogised the reverend who she referred to as a “giant” because of his stature.

She recalled that he loved to spread the word of God and travelled to many countries doing what he loved.

The ceremony was attended by numerous Democratic Labour Party members led by Prime Minister of Barbados Freundel Stuart.  (TG)
