Kensington Oval misses out on India Test

KENSINGTON OVAL has missed out on a Test match for this year’s home series between West Indies and India.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) today announced the itinerary for the four-match series that will feature Tests in Antigua, Jamaica, St Lucia and Trinidad.

WICB head of cricket operations Roland Holder is pleased that all the venues scheduled to host games “are ready to host the visiting Indian team and keen contests are expected.”

It is the first time West Indies and India will meet following the premature end of a limited-overs series on the sub-continent in October, 2014.

The schedule:

July 9-10: Practice match at Warner Park in St Kitts

July 14-16: Practice match at Warner Park in St Kitts

July 21-25: First Test at Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua

July 30 -August 3: Second Test at Sabina Park in Jamaica

August 9-13: Third Test at Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia

August 18-22: Fourth Test at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad (HG)
