CARIBBEAN CULINARY TEAMS, watch out! With sharpened knives and cool confidence, members of the Barbados Culinary Team say they are going for a gold sweep at the upcoming Taste of the Caribbean.
The 11-member all-male team will be heading out to Miami on Sunday with the competition scheduled from June 6 to 10.
Chairman of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. Alvin Jemmott said it was important to have a large number of chefs representing Barbados especially with the country celebrating its 50th anniversary of Independence.
He was speaking today at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort during a media briefing. (MR)
