Bajan splash in Canada

AFTER A SIX-YEAR hiatus, the Barbados on The Water Festival took a big splash back onto the entertainment scene in Toronto, Canada, last weekend  at the Harbourfront Centre and its grounds.

With Barbados celebrating 50 years of independence this year, officials and producers of the festival decided it was high time for it to return to Canadian shores.

With over 20 000 patrons having attended the events, which ran from May 27 to 29, the festival was considered a success, with Canadians, Bajans and Bajan Canadians thoroughly relishing in the experience. (SM)
