11-Plus results announced

THE RESULTS for this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination are out. This year’s top boy is Zachary Andrew Gill, of St Gabriel’s School.

He scored 252.71 A to earn a place at Queen’s College.

He is also one of three boys who posted a perfect score in the Mathematics section of the exam.

The top girl is Adia Jovanna Deane, of St. Angela’s, who scored 249.24. She will be attending Harrison College in September.

In all, 3 527 students, from 68 public primary schools and 26 private primary institutions, sat the exam at 22 centres on May 3.

There were eleven early sitters of the exam. Minister Ronald Jones has informed the media that this year, there will be no list of the top ten students of the exam. (HLE)
