Man pleads guilty to cannabis charges

A ST LUCY MAN pleaded guilty to possessing and trafficking cannabis today and was fined $2 500.

Forty-two-year-old Odinga Mboya Yearwood of Allman Road, Checker Hall was charged by police after he was found with 24 grammes of the drug yesterday. He was a passenger in a vehicle which was intercepted by police along the Adams section of the ABC Highway.

When Yearwood appeared in the District “C” Magistrates Court he was fined $2 500 in three months or three months in prison on the charge of possession. He was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the charge of trafficking and the charge of possession with intent to supply was withdrawn. (PR/NB)
