THE BARBADOS REVENUE AUTHORITY’S (BRA) threat to auction 28 properties last May 18 for non-payment of land tax has reaped success.
Most of the individuals and entities responsible for the properties have sought to make arrangements with BRA to settle their debts.
“I can confirm that some persons have visited or contacted the authority in an effort to make thorough arrangements to settle their outstanding tax, with several actually contacting us the same day the notices were featured in the newspapers,” said BRA communications officer Erica Lazare. (SP)
