IT IS WITH DEEP and profound regret that I am forced to announce that almost every day last week, I encountered many people who exhibited extremely unhappy, miserable traits.
Being practising conscious humans, we must avoid attempts to be invited into an environment of unhappiness by either ignoring or making appropriate responses. Believe me, if you are not a trained professional or a very self-confident person, unhappy people would wickedly pass unhappiness to you in the blink of an eye.
A perfect example of this type of behaviour is, “Morning Annette, I hate to see you in that dress”. Instead of sharing in Corey’s unhappiness, a response can be, “Corey, I know you are an unhappy person and I am not sharing in your unhappiness. Perhaps you should work on self-improvement instead of criticising others”. Many Coreys exist in our society and they need help.
This month, let us commence planting to assist with moving towards fulfilment and happiness. People who are in love with Mother Nature or people who Mother Nature is in love with, will be motivated to plant food for human consumption.
My brain is always thinking about planting food each time I look outside and see the slightest amount of soil. We should be happy to grow some yams and sweet potatoes because I can see what is occurring in some countries as food becomes scarce.
If you are privileged to read this column, you are receiving a spiritual gift to take you out of your unhappy state. This week I want you to follow these instructions.
1. Curtail complaining to anyone about your unhappy problem.
2. Curtail going to work and complaining to co-workers about your unhappiness.
3. Curtail invading the homes of others via telephone, social media or other sources about your unhappy state.
4. Locate a bucket, put some holes in the bottom and prepare it for planting or prepare a garden bed for planting.
5. Purchase some dwarf pigeon peas or lettuce seedlings from the 4H plant shop.
6. Sow the seeds, and each morning and evening water the seedlings and pull out any weeds.
7. While tending to those seedlings, express your source of unhappiness to Mother Earth and ask to be shown solutions. Keep a journal of all of your conversations and of the growth of the seedlings.
As the seedlings flourish, try to see if there is a relationship between improvement in your garden and a decrease in levels of unhappiness. The results may surprise you.
