SEVEN CONTESTANTS went head to head when tenth edition of the Mr & Ms Single And Progressive pageant came off Sunday night.
It was around 11:30 p.m. when Mr A&L Ushering Inc. Ryan Charles and Miss MGraphics Krystal Mayers were crowned the respective winners in the show held in the Queen’s Park Steel Shed before a moderate crowd. Among the males, Dario Lovell and Decourcey Hutson were second and third, respectively.
Among the females, Nikita Drakes came in a close second followed by Ashleigh Cameron-Clarke. Fourth was Shaniko Cheltenham.
Show director Sherry Holder explained that the pageant had little to do with beauty but was used as a tool for empowering the contestants.
The segments were: a designer challenge (designing their own outfits), travelling on the wings of progression (career choice), travelling on the wings of temptation (lingerie), question and answer, talent and formal wear. (COM)
