USAIN BOLT’s brand is now also running with Bajan track and field.

The best of Barbadian athletics will be decked out in PUMA for the upcoming Rio Olympics, as the Athletics Association of Barbados (AAB) signed a partnership with the global sporting brand. Under the deal, local athletes will receive gear for the next three major summer championships.

News of the big sponsorship broke yesterday after PUMA announced the partnership and revealed the details of the apparel deal.

“PUMA is synonymous with track and field in the Caribbean, we’re proud to now be part of that story,” said AAB president Catherine Jordan.

“There’s a real personality and ambition with how PUMA works in the sport, also represented in the performance qualities of its apparel that come with a real style and flair in colour and design. (JM)
