THE INVESTIGATION INTO the alleged police brutality against Nazim Blackett is expected to be concluded shortly.
That is the word from Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith, who told the WEEKEND NATION that he expected a full report to be presented to him “within a reasonable time”.
Following a story on May 20 in the WEEKEND NATION, investigations were launched into reports that police officers severely beat Blackett.
A photograph of the 20-year-old Blackett lying in a blood-stained cell also accompanied the article.
Days later, Griffith proclaimed that “no stone will be left unturned” while revealing that an extensive probe had been launched. (RB)
