THE EVERYTHING BAJAN segment of the 2016 First Citizens Crop Over City Fest is in full swing at Independence Square.

A number of local entertainers, spanning different genres, are on the programme to take the audience on a cultural journey.

The Pinelands Creative Workshop, Rose Hill Tuk Band, stiltwalkers, steel pan, some of the junior calypso monarch contestants and DJ music will provide entertainment throughout the day.

Earlier, story teller, poet and writer Deanne Kennedy took listeners trip back in time. She brought her props on stage to help illustrate the story before an audience that is building towards tonight’s show.

Kennedy followed a musical session by strolling minstrel Charles Odell who performed three self-written songs.

Meanwhile, over on Swan Street, the Abed’s Cutting Challenge (below) for designers was also underway as participants try to create a piece for a “live” mannequin from the materials provided. (BN)
