FULL LIGHTING should be restored to the Kensington Oval towers in time for the imminent Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Amidst revelations that more than 50 bulbs at the island’s lone international cricket ground were faulty, Minister of Sports Stephen Lashley has disclosed that in keeping with planned works, the faulty lights should be replaced in time for the Barbados leg of the glitzy Twenty20 tournament beginning on July 11.

“The lights at Kensington Oval have suffered the loss of several bulbs over some time and repairs were scheduled for the end of June 2016 to ensure the lighting would be at its optimum for the CPL tournament in July,” Lashley told SUNSPORT.
