VENDORS ON THE Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge in Bridgetown appear to be plying their trade with less worry now.
Some said the pressure from police, which saw their goods being removed or trays being left unattended to avoid arrests, had eased off and was almost non-existent. But more importantly, the majority of them had valid permits to set up their trays and tables.
Sandra Findlay proudly displayed her renewed permit when a DAILY NATION team visited the area yesterday afternoon. It had a stamp dated June 7 in the right hand corner, and gave her the right to sell until December 7.
She said she had to pay $400 to bring it up to date, but did not regret having to put out the money. (YB)
