THE ST LUCIA ZOUKS beat defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders by six wickets to make a winning start to the 2016 Hero Caribbean Premier League.
The Trinidad and Tobago franchise, which has undergone a name change from Red Steel, posted 162 for six off their 20 overs, led by an unbeaten 63 from Darren Bravo at the Queen’s Park Oval.
After a quick-fire 52 off 38 balls by opener Johnson Charles, David Miller found form with 33 off 20 to seal the win.
Tonight, St Kitts Nevis Patriots will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors at Warner Park, St Kitts.
