GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS pulled off a tense four-wicket victory over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots with one ball to spare on Thursday night at Warner Park in the Hero Caribbean Premier League T20.
Dwayne Smith laid the table with 62 off 36 balls as Amazon Warriors chased 164 for nine set by the Patriots. But once Smith fell, the Patriots took wickets at regular intervals to make it a chase.
Needing 30 runs off the last three overs, Jason Mohammed stepped up with an unbeaten 42 off 29 balls, reaching 165 for six.
Earlier, Patriots rallied with 38 each by Brad Hodge 38 and Devon Thomas after Lendl Simmons fell for a duck.
