THE KING finally has his breakthrough. And his revenge.

Darian King delivered again, as Barbados’ top ranked tennis pro won his first ATP Challenger event by valiantly coming from a set down to shock top 100 player Victor Estrella in yesterday’s men’s open final in Cali, Colombia.

Playing on the unfavourable red clay, the Bajan ace clawed his way out of an early hole before upending the world no. 77 Dominican Republic star 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 in two hours and 28 minutes.

It served as payback for last year’s straight sets defeat to Estrella, who became the first and only opponent to defeat King at home in a Davis Cup singles rubber.
