LIGHT, intermittent showers have delayed the start of the Hero Caribbean Premier League match between Tridents Pride of Barbados and Jamaica Tallawahs at Kensington Oval tonight.

By 9:20 p.m. – an hour and 20 minutes after the scheduled 8 p.m. start – the covers were still on the square as the rain persisted.

The covers were removed twice, raising hopes of a start at 9 p.m. but another shower returned to frustrate more than 5 000 spectators at the ground.

Tridents, who lost their first match against Trinbago Knight Riders and won their second against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, won the toss and invited Tallawahs to take first strike.

The Tallawahs’ line-up includes just one Barbadian with all-rounder Raymon Reifer replacing Ashley Nurse. (HG)
