Like Caesar, the Pro Shottas Soccer School laid waste to all opposition during a football tournament in the United States – the Chicago Kics Cup – bringing the trophy home.
It was actually the under-14 team which took home gold but both the under-12 and under-16 teams performed admirably, placing third and second, respectively, in their categories.
Coach Corey “Santa” Barrow – himself part of the champion local Premier League team UWI – said the youngsters’ achievements were all the more commendable as they had never been to Chicago before and had to deal with the different climate. (CA)
