IN THE MIDST of the Crop Over season, parents are being urged to party less and parent more.

The call came from Minister of Youth and Culture Stephen Lashley yesterday as he spoke at the opening of the National Summer Camp programme, held at the First Baptist Church.

“Too many of our parents and guardians spend too much time partying and having a good time – being out on Saturday night feting when in fact they should be home preparing their children for Sunday School the next day,” he told the congregation gathered at the Constitution Road, City, church.

The minister said it was important for the society to reinforce what was required within institutions such as the family, home and wider community. (CA/AD)
