THE MIXED TRIPLES team emerged as the lone winners for Barbados at the 21st Caribbean Darts Championships, which ended at the Crane Beach Resort in St Philip on Sunday.
Shelly Taylor, Mark Griffith and Winston Edwards, who returned to competition after 22 years, fought hard to win 2-1 against Shane Sawyer, Dwight Miller and Sandra Ferguson of Bahamas.
“Well, for me it was good to see after [being] out of the national team for so long, to come back and reach the finals, so it feels great for me and Barbados,” said Edwards.
Griffith, who was also awarded for the most 180s – he hit five – said it always feels good to play for your country. The trio all said that making it to the finals was hard. (JC)
