Family hurt as home collapses

FOUR MEMBERS OF the Hinkson/Williams family were injured last night when a portion of the floor of their home collapsed.  This caused the inner walls of the home to fall.

Nicholas Hinkson, 35, was trapped under the rubble of the house at Chapel Gap, Spooner’s Hill, St Michael and had to be rescued by members of the Barbados Fire Service.

Also injured were his mother Cheryl Hinkson, his 25-year-old sister and her two-year-old daughter.

The incident occurred just before midnight.

The injured are currently at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital seeking treatment. (LK)
