Stuart: Too much tech

OH FOR THE sound of a human voice.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart yesterday bemoaned the lack of human interaction in private sector entities especially as Barbadians tried to conduct their daily business.

Government departments did not escape his tongue-lashing as he blamed the technological revolution and Barbados’ quest to follow the global world for creating frustration among people.

Stuart was speaking at the National Societal Consultation on Barbadian Society at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre yesterday.

“When last have you tried to call your banker here is Barbados, on Broad Street or in Wildey, and somebody in Jamaica or Mexico is answering. When last have you tried to call LIME or FLOW, and I am not trying to exculpate Government departments either. When last have you tried to call one of them?” (HLE)
