SIR VIVIAN RICHARDS is talking his talk again.

But this time, he is praising the first Test performance of Shane Dowrich, who has replaced wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin for the West Indies four-match cricket series against India.

“When you look at the performances moving forward, young Dowrich, I think would’ve cemented his place in terms of the next match,” Sir Vivian told MIDWEEK SPORT in a post-match interview after India thrashed West Indies by an innings and 92 runs.

Dowrich hit ten fours in an unbeaten 57 off 79 balls in 107 minutes during the first innings. He featured in a 69-run stand with captain Jason Holder, which was the highest in the first innings total of 243.  (EZS)
