It was to say who in my opinion was the leading act up to intermission. That said, I would have to give it to Classic, the defending monarch.
He was going up against nine others who had survived a field of 18 at the semi-finals held at the National Stadium two weeks.
But Classic, who rendered War in The Alphabet would have certainly stood head and shoulders above everyone else in the first two hours of the show. The song smartly used the alphabet to make political statements underlining people’s frustration with the two main parties.
It poked fun at the Barbados Revenue Authority with the acronym BRA. Then there was the arrangement.
