THE POLICE SHOOTING of wanted man Romario Lashley will be fully investigated, said Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith.

Lashley, 24, who was wanted by police in connection with the shooting of Police Constable Shane Newton three weeks ago, was shot multiple times in the chest on Wednesday when police invaded a house at Harts Gap, Christ Church, where the suspect was hiding out.

Following the shooting, Lashley’s father Dennis Small told the NATION newspaper that he heard from eyewitnesses that his son was unarmed and was fired upon by the police.

He said his son had also made arrangements with attorney Andrew Pilgrim to turn himself in the next day. (MB)
