MP: Make B’s report public

THREE YEARS AFTER an environmentally hazardous fire that lasted for more than a week and forced the evacuation of some residents from Cane Vale, St Thomas, garbage is piling up again at the same metal-dump site.

In addition, a report on the B’s Recycling blaze is yet to be provided to people living in the area.

MP for St Thomas Cynthia Forde wants to know why Minister of the Environment Dr Denis Lowe is yet to make the report public, and if a decision on the future of the facility will be soon in coming as promised three years ago.

She also believes the residents are again facing another hazard, with the new mountain of garbage visible at the same B’s Recycling metal dump, and growing by the day.
