Six Roads vendor back at work

AFTER BEING STRUCK by an out of control vehicle just over a week ago, 52-year-old fruit vendor Ewart Goddard is already back at work.

Not out of want, however, but out of necessity, as the bills started to mount following the accident at Six Roads, St Philip.

With his right foot heavily bandaged and crutches nearby, Goddard said he had already spent close to $3 000 after a car turned out of the car park at Emerald City, lost control and ploughed into the three vendors plying their trade by the roadside.

Although he was out for a week, he made his quick return to the same spot where the incident happened as he, a self-employed farmer and retailer, needed to deal with the fallout from the accident. (AD)
