BARBADOS HAVE SELECTED a very strong team to battle in the AFNA World Cup Qualifier in St Maarten from August 22-28.

Co-captain Sheniqua Thomas, along with sisters Shanice and Shonica Wharton, as well as Vanessa Bobb and Shonte Seale, have already worn senior colours. Seale also made the Barbados senior volleyball team last week.

Barbados will battle the host, Argentina, Canada, Grenada, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago in a bid to capture one of the three spots to advance to the finals in Gaborone, Botwana, next year.

Thomas along with sharp shooter Shonica will carry the attack with support from Shaquilla Davis who improved significantly while shooting for CO Williams Rangers this year. (KB)
