Water polo splash begins

WATER POLO is set to make a big splash this weekend.

The third annual Barbados Open Invitational Water Polo Tournament starts this morning at the Aquatic Centre and is expected to attract keen competition.

Three games are scheduled for the morning session which begins at 8:15 with a clash between Barbados Sharks and Army West Point, a military unit from North America.

In other morning games, Asphalt Green from New York will challenge the Utah Water Polo Club, while the Dynamo/Titanes, a combined team from New York and Columbia, will clash with Army West Point.

The evening session starts at 5:30 and will also include an official opening ceremony at 6:30. (HG/PR)
