THE PRACTICE matches are over and it is time for the Under-21 Bajan Gems to execute enough skill to shine brightly on the courts of St Maarten.
And Barbados coach Sandra Bruce-Small said with a little more practice she believes they would have “as good a chance as anyone else” in qualifying for the final.
Over the past couple weeks the team was preparing for the AFNA World Cup Qualifier in St Maarten, which is set to be played from August 22 to 28.
Bruce-Small told WEEKEND SPORT the team had a short period in which to prepare but that was exactly what they needed to have a chance at qualifying.
