Garbage piling up at Browne’s Beach

GARBAGE continues to pile up across the country and is once again becoming an eyesore to pedestrians and even beachgoers.    

Appeals from health officials and service groups for Barbadians to desist from the habit of throwing refuse everywhere, however, seem to be falling on deaf ears given this mound of garbage taken at Browne’s Beach, Bay Street, St Michael, yesterday afternoon.    

During the recent Crop Over Festival, advocates for the protection of the environment appealed to Barbadians to dispose of their trash responsibly, but from the sight of this garbage a lot more agitation seems to be in order. (JS)
